Footing Step Templates: Copy Global to Job ( Utility Functions )

An SDS2 Concrete or SDS2 Concrete Station license is required to enable the use of this utility.

  • Global footing step templates are stored in the data directory used by your current version of this program. Job footing step templates are stored in your current Job and can be added to a footing step in that Job by selecting the " Template " in that member's edit window.
  • However, a member edit window cannot be used to add a global template. So, to use global templates in your current Job, you need to use this utility to copy them to your current Job from the library of global templates.
  • The number or names of global templates currently maintained in the data directory does not change as a result of your using this utility.
  • See the step-by-step instructions .

3 . One of the following happens:

Possibility 1 : An alert dialog opens if any of the footing step templates you selected in step 2 reside in your current Job. If you press " Yes " on this dialog, you will overwrite the footing step templates with those in your template repository. If you press " No " on this dialog, the Copy Global Footing Step Templates to Job operation ends. Do not continue.

One or more of the selected items already exists.
Do you want to overwrite?

Tip: When a footing step template is overwritten using this utility, you must mark for processing footing steps that are defined by it (for example, by using the Mark for Processing tool) and Process and Create Solids before the copied template will be applied.

Possibility 2 : None of the templates you selected in step 2 reside in your current job. The templates are copied to your job, and the operation ends.

4 . The global templates selected in step 2 continue to exist in the repository for such templates and copies of those templates are now Job footing step templates . You can now apply such a template to footing steps in your current Job by making it the " Template " selection in the member's edit window.
